Pardon the pun, but Panther XC has has found a new Geer to shift into. The past two weeks, Geer McGee has been the third panther to cross the finish line. He has demonstrated that he is willing to conquer the pain of distance running, plus the extra added bonus pain from shin splints. Based on current standings in the Gr. St. Helens 2A League, Geer is heading towards 2nd team All-League status.
"Faster than a locomotive?" Well, not quite, but there may have been a little extra incentive for Kayla Lockard to scorch up the course on a hot day to make sure she had time to go catch her train ride. Of the 50 + runners in the two races combined, she was the closest to their time from the previous week on faster courses and better weather. She was a mere 20 seconds from her Saxon time - INCREDIBLE JOB!
