Luke Belzer

"Oh yea - I Guess I Did Pass Him at the End."

Luke Belzer

Luke Belzer was in a solid 6th place with 500 meters to go in the Frosh/Soph race. That was for the last ribbon available. Well, that is what place we thought he finished, but at the awards, he had moved up to 5th! When initially asked if he had passed a guy the last few 100 meters, he could not recall - but later said "I guess I did pass him near the water jump". That event was critical in the Panthers capturing the second place plaque as they nipped La Center by just one measly point. So his move from 6th to 5th was the heroic effort of the day for the Panther boys!

Brooke Croeni

"Who Wants to be Our 5th Girl?"

Brooke Croeni

That question was asked on the way to the race by Coach. We were fairly sure who the top four girls were, but no-one opened their mouth on the bus. However, Brooke Croeni made a huge statement the first mile of the race by holding on tight to runners 2-4, showcasing her much improved running form, finishing in style as our #5 girl. Although big brother Dylan was on hand having to watch his boy's course record fall, he was surely impressed with her 25:25 mark, just 1 second away from a full two minute improvement from last year. I guess Brooke wants to be our 5th Girl!
